Our Basic Rule

A recommendation should be useful even if the affiliate link is removed.

We do not recommend products only because they pay a commission. We aim to recommend products based on practical setup fit, compatibility, value, and usefulness for serious remote and hybrid workers.

Some product links may not be affiliate links at all. We may link to a manufacturer, retailer, or product page without earning a commission when that is the most useful destination for readers.

When the same product is available from more than one store or affiliate program, we choose links based first on reader value: correct model, clear specifications, reliable availability, shipping, returns, price clarity, and compatibility information. Commission rate is secondary to whether the link helps readers make the right decision.

Affiliate Links, Review Units, and Sponsorships Are Different

An affiliate link means we may earn a commission from a qualifying purchase. It does not mean the brand sponsored the article or supplied the product.

If a brand provides a free or loaned product, we use a separate label such as Review unit provided by [Brand] and explain whether it was returned or kept and whether the brand had editorial control. A review unit does not guarantee coverage, placement, or a positive recommendation.

If a brand pays for or commissions content, requires campaign deliverables, or has approval rights, we use a clear label such as Sponsored by [Brand] or Paid promotion by [Brand] near the title or beginning. Paid content is not presented as an independent review.

When there is no payment, free product, affiliate commission, or other material relationship, we do not add a commercial label that implies one. Recommendation evidence labels such as Personally used, Researched recommendation, Specs-based pick, or Not tested describe the basis for the advice instead.
